Handles made of wear-resistant polyamide. Both the tips of the internal cable knives and the cutting edges of the attached bow blades are titanium nitride coated. At approx. 500 degrees C, titanium nitride is vapor-deposited onto the cutting blade in the vacuum chamber using the PVD process. Due to the reduced surface structure and the extremely high hardness, excellent sliding properties and high wear or abrasion resistance are achieved. TiN-coated knives can be used with much higher durability and cutting performance.
