Das E298 ist ein anschnappbares Modul (9mm) mit integrierten Hauptkontakten. Da das Hauptmodul E297 mit maximal zwei Hauptkontakten bestückt ist, kann mit dem Hauptkontaktmodul die Anzahl der Hauptkontakte um einen Öffner und einen Schließerkontakt erhöht werden (z.B. bei Lichtstränge die auf 3-Phasen verteilt sind).
